Climate Activist Team 2016
Hello! My name is Ana and I am a Portuguese 43 years old woman who decided to leave my very well organized life to join this adventure. After more then twenty years of work, and being the mother of two young adults, I realised that it was time for me to search for a different meaning for my life.
At the One World Center I found the opportunity of joining a volunteering international project and also some necessary preparation to do so. The climate activist program was perfect for me, not only because ecology has always been my passion but also because I will actually have the opportunity to take action on climate change, making the world a better place for all.
Hello I´m Vanessa and I decided to join the climate change program because I do believe our actions have huge repercussions. I like to think that to blame others is a waste of time, though it can be difficult not to sometimes. To blame yourself is much more productive, so yes... the reason why I am here is to be part of the change I want to see in this world and to learn as much as I can about how to be a powerful force, well formed and well informed. All of us as individuals are huge in number and because of that to join and go together toward a goal makes us invincible.
I am 19 years old, I graduated from high school 3 months ago and wanted to take a gap year. My sister found this 9 month programme on the internet and suggested it was a good way to spend my gap year.
I always have loved and cared for nature and it pains me to see what's happening to it, so I wanted to change something.
I also know that I'm better at doing practical things rather than sitting in a classroom and studying something I don't really like.
I am 26 years old. I came here from Austria, a city next to Vienna, to be precise.
I have been raised in a nature loving way, I spent quite a big proportion of time during my childhood out in the woods and on small farms. I have always been fascinated by the way nature has it all balanced out and how all the things are linked to each other. As I was growing older my interest for Mother Earth and her children were growing too. Soon I found out that this perfect balance can be very fragile in some ways and that our daily life and constant economic growth are disrupting the the cycles of nature. That was main reason for me to join this programme here in Lindersvold.
I know that Climate Change and all its results won't stop after me and my fellow teammates have successfully ended this programme, but every big thing starts on a small scale. It definitely is overdue time for us humans to accept the facts of change and to take action. Im very looking forward to learn more about a sustainable way of living, how to be more independent in food and energy concerns and to be able to spread the word of this programme and of positive change that is already happening as you read this.
My name is Jorge Eliecer Box. I'm 26 and I come from Italy. I decided to enroll at the One World Center and One World University because I have always believed that man is dissociated from nature, and because of that commits serious mistakes. One World Center gives the opportunity to experience a new reality in the first person and does not base the study only on the books and exams, but by the complete freedom of thought, opinion, encouraging individuals to grow and to express their full potential
Hello to everyone that follows the climate change program.
My name is Domenico Capozzi. I am 41 years old, I am Italian, I was graduate in Sociology and I have also studied for a masters in Human Resources.
Why I am here in Lindersvold? I have chosen Lindersvold and the climate programme because I am very interested in this topic. I think that to know climate change is the most important thing for our future. The climate program is designed to give theoretical and practical information about the way to do something well for the nature.
So if you want to do a interesting experience, come here!
I’m Karolina, born and raised in Lithuania. From October 2016 I have joined the Climate Activist Programme in Lindersvold, Denmark.
This climate activist program aligns wonderfully with my values. Firstly, I do believe that climate change is a severe issue and it cannot be ignored. Secondly, I have been raised to appreciate what is natural. Thirdly, learning and working with a team is a beneficial activity as it gives one inspiration and motivation for the future.
Thus, I am convinced that it is my time to take a stand for the Earth. That would add worth to my life. I am looking forward to learn more about this issue and spread the message among people.
