First Week at DRH Lindersvold
I have arrived at DRH Lindersvold on the 29 of January and I have been well received, everyone is really kind and open to help. What was really nice and made me feel a bit like home or at least not to miss so much from Portugal is the way the school is organized and the way the tasks are shared. Of course in my opinion I think we can do some things in a better way but like everyone in this community have that “task” together.
I have enjoyed being invited to go for a run with some of the guys from another team on Sunday morning and to be invited by another volunteer to run with him. I think it is kind of an important feeling to get integrated in the general group and not only in my team.
On Sunday afternoon it was a nice experience for me together with two of my team mates to go for a walk around the school. It was nice to get to know each other better and appreciate the view of the sea. It was really beautiful to see that, the fauna and all the animals. It was the first time I have seen a seal in the wild.
It was great to have been part of the goodbye parties for teams who were leaving for St Vincent and Malawi and it was a really nice welcome party for my team.
It has been a great week – I have really enjoyed.
