Is the Capitalist System Connected to Wars?
Are you one of those people who think that capitalism is the best model of society?
In our study period, which is called “peace not war” we are studying about universal history. A few days ago we were talking about the Vietnam War, Guerrilla war, the Military industrial-complex…
The big question we got from this is: What are the reasons of the war? Then we started to discuss it and arrived to one point: Capitalism. Capitalism from the beginning has been associated with war and military.
Actually, some people think that capitalism is the unique model of society; if not ideal, at least satisfactory… that there is and will never be another. But many of us know that it is the most criminal ideology in all of human history.
Capitalism is a wild system, full of massacres and wars. Capitalists have caused thousands of deaths in the last century.
YOU WANT PROOF?
In the last 10 years (2006-2016) 31 million of children have died from malnutrition.
62 people have the same riches as half the world’s population. Capitalism is a system that works to monopolize the money to a few hands.
How did we get here?
The capitalists just fight for their own interests and show the things they really want to show. A clear example is the situation in Syria.
The Chemical attack against the population of Khan Sheikhoum this year has already caused 500 miles deaths and 10 million displaced people, half of the population, of the 4 million have had to leave the country.
The United States, after accusing the Syrian Government of the bombing of Khan Sheikoum, decides to bomb, in turn, a Syrian air base, to “help the Syrian population” as Trump claimed. What hypocrisy on the part of the President of the United States. We have not forgotten that he was the one who closed the door definitively to the Syrian refugees.
The concern of the capitalists has not been the protection of the Syrian population but rather the defence of the interests of the United States in that war.
There are a lot of wars connected with the capitalist system.
The Boers’ war for control of South African’s. 75,000 military and civilian victims
The Russian-Japanese War in 1905 on imperialist ambitions. 300,000 military and civilian victims
The first world war that was a great benefit to the warlike companies. Between 10 and 31 million victims.
The Chaco war for the oil between Bolivia and Uruguay . 100,000 civilian and militia victims
The Second World War with big business profits – 55,000,000 military and civilian casualties
Do you still think that the capitalism is the best system?
We don’t want to change your mind, we just want to make you think.
