Nature is always making music
Paolo Rosseti: a percussionist, life enthusiast and happy person. We can see his passion when his hands touch the drum. I was be able to feel the good energy when I entered the room. You don’t meet people like that everyday in your life. People that can really get into your soul.
In the first hour, we started by playing some games and trying to feel the others and be inspired by the energy in the room. All of his games had a purpose behind them, either it was to connect with each other or follow his lead without being too serious. Paolo told us about the basic rhythm in music: the binary one, like a heart. We spent the first hour following this rhythm and make music and sound with it without even being aware about it.
In the second hour, we use more instruments and more sounds came up. Here the melody appeared. We also (always through games) made music with ternary rhythm that he explained are very different from the binarium ones and all thanks to a simple pause.
What I enjoyed more in this short session was the freedom Paolo gave to us to produce sound and melodies that came from one’s person heart to the other. It was really impressive to see and especially hear how good people are at making sounds. Everything can become music. Everything around us is a melody. Nature is always making music. We just have to listen closer.
